Tracy Nickelson Obituary

Woodstock, GA- We regret to announce the transition of Ms. Tracy Elaine Nickelson, age 63, of Woodstock, Georgia, entered her heavenly home on June 4, 2026. Born on January 23, 1963, Tracy lived a life filled with love, laughter, adventure, and devotion to her family, friends, and animals.

Tracy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Gary and Jane Nickelson, and her cherished niece, Allison, who welcomed her into Heaven.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure her memory: her son, Jon Garner of Woodstock, Georgia; her son and daughter-in-law, Mitchel and Kenzie Gunter of Taylorsville, Georgia; and her three grandsons, Cayden Garner, Wyatt Gunter, and Wilson Gunter, who were among the greatest joys of her life.

Tracy is also survived by her older sister, Wanda Reeves (Mark) of Canton, Georgia; her older brother, Larry Nickelson (Martha) of White, Georgia; and her younger sister, Kim Wine (Danny) of Lithia Springs, Georgia.

A proud and devoted aunt, Tracy shared a special bond with her nieces Courtney, Ashley, and Allison, and her nephews Chip, Charlie, and Jimmy. She was also a loving great-aunt to four great-nieces and three great-nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Tracy's love for animals was evident throughout her life. She turned that passion into a successful career, serving as the manager of PetSmart in Kennesaw, Georgia, where she touched the lives of countless customers, coworkers, and pets. Her faithful companion, Woody, her beloved 16-year-old dog, was never far from her side and brought her immeasurable joy.

An outdoor enthusiast through and through, Tracy loved camping, fishing, boating, trail riding, mudding, and embracing every opportunity to enjoy nature. Whether gathered around a campfire, spending a day on the water, or sharing time with family, she found happiness in life's simple pleasures and the company of those she loved.

More than anything, Tracy cherished her family. She had a generous heart, a spirited personality, and a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved. The memories she created with her family and extended family will be treasured for generations to come.

Though her prence will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, kindness, adventure, and devotion lives on in our lives.
