Theresa Kathy Watkins-Woods

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Theresa Kathy Watkins-Wood on June 14, 2024, at the age of 65, following a courageous battle with cervical cancer. Born on January 26, 1959, to Joyce and Archie Watkins, Theresa was the first child and love of their lives. She was a devoted mother, loving daughter, faithful wife, and generous friend who touched the lives of many.

Theresa is survived by her mother, Joyce Watkins; father, Archie Watkins; daughter, Sheikema T. Watkins; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Gaut; husband, Lafayette Wood; children Adria Wood, Jeannette Richardson, and Stamina Da Costa; grandchildren Krystyna Martinez, Kameron Fate Richardson, and Isabella Thompson. She is also survived by siblings Tyrone, Jerome, Ernie, Lamar, Lamia, Michael J, Sekena, Russell, Michael, and Anthony Watkins, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kia.

Theresa's legacy of love, kindness, and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

Ms. Watkins- Woods wishes would be that no one wears black please wear colors or white.
