Sandra Margretta Shine-Reid

Hiram, GA- We regret to announce the passing of Ms. Sandra Shine Reid, born September 11, 1959, in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, peacefully departed this life, leaving a legacy of love, faith, and service. She shared a lasting bond of friendship and family with her former spouse, Benjamin Reid of South Carolina. Together, they raised three loving children: Selwyn Reid (Quincy) of Stafford, Virginia; Kelley Davidson of Hiram, Georgia; and Willie Reid (Shenita) of Villa Rica, Georgia.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Sh’Nya, Jayda, Walter Jr., CJ, Kingston, and Lyric—each of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Charlie and Sarah Shine and the cherished sister of Patricia Copeland (David), Betty Shine (Moultrie), Charlie Shine, Jr. (Annie), Kelly Shine Sr. (Sharon), all of Moncks Corner, SC, and Ernest Smith () NC. Sandra was raised in a home grounded in faith and community, values that she carried with her throughout her life.

Sandra received her early education in the Berkeley County School District and graduated in the Class of 1977. From an early age, she was a devoted member of Nazareth R.E. Church, where she confirmed her faith in Jesus Christ. As a child and young adult, she sang joyfully in the Nazareth School Sunday and Young Adult Choir. Her passion for community involvement extended to her work with the Greater Charleston YWCA in the early 1990s.

Professionally, Sandra contributed many years of dedicated service to the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles and Santee Cooper Electrical Company. She was known for her professionalism, warmth, and strong work ethic.

Sandra will be fondly remembered by a host of cousins, relatives, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her generous spirit, unwavering faith, and kind heart.Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in eternal peace.
