Acworth, GA- Karen “Kasey” Collins Litt, 61, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Kasey lived a life centered around passion, friendship, generosity, and love for both people and animals. Born on December 1, 1964, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew Litt, with whom she shared 21 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a life filled with adventure, friendship, and deep devotion before relocating from New Jersey to Atlanta, where Kasey began a successful career with IBM.
Over the years, Kasey formed countless lifelong friendships and became known for her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit. She believed deeply in helping others and devoted much of her time to volunteer work. Through Simple Needs Georgia, she created the “My Birthday Matters” program, bringing joy and dignity to children in need. She also volunteered extensively with Mostly Mutts, combining her compassion with her lifelong love of animals.
That love ultimately inspired Kasey to pursue her dream of opening her own dog kennel and daycare, Kritter Keepers Club. Under her leadership, the business earned recognition in “Best of Cobb” for several consecutive years. Kasey was deeply loved by her staff, clients, and the many families who entrusted their pets to her care.
Kasey also found joy in photography, wine nights, book club gatherings, and the community of friends and “framily” she built throughout her life. Her laughter, loyalty, and caring heart left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She will be deeply missed by her beloved dogs, her friends, book club and wine club members, the staff and clients of Kritter Keepers Club, and the many people whose lives she touched through friendship, kindness, and service.
Her memory will live on in the countless lives she changed and the love she so freely gave. We love you, Kasey!
